At Birkes Elementary, we believe that strong partnerships between home and school are key to creating a vibrant, supportive, and successful learning environment for our students. We’re excited to share a few fun opportunities for you to get involved at Birkes — by volunteering at our School Spirit Shop! It's a favorite among students from all grade levels, Pre - K through 5th grade, where they can purchase fun items and school merchandise, practice responsibility with money, and build excitement for school pride. But we can’t do it without your help!

We are currently looking for parent volunteers to assist with:

  • Setting up and organizing merchandise
  • Helping students make selections and complete purchases
  • Restocking items and keeping the shops tidy

April Staff Appreciation Thank You's

The April Walking Taco Bar was a hit, and it would not have been possible without the parents, grandparents, and Bulldog friends who donated. Your generosity is the secret ingredient that lets us keep serving up joy to our staff. To our teachers and staff: you are the heart of Birkes. Your dedication is immeasurable, and you bring a steady, uplifting energy that makes our campus feel like home.

  • A Special Thank You: A huge shout out to our Hospitality crew Tamiko Bennett and Roiann Baskins. Your teamwork and support helped turn this event into a fiesta the staff truly enjoyed.

  • Drawing Winners:Congratulations to our Drawing Winners: Anamartiza Sanchez, Heather Duskie, Molly Janak, and Jackie Hankins! Celebrating you added an extra dash of fun to the day, and we are so grateful for everything you do.

  • PTO Staff Spotlight: Another congratulations goes out to our Birkes PTO Spotlight Winner Katie Marin! As one of our dedicated Birkes Counselors, your compassion and commitment have made a meaningful impact on so many Bulldogs. Thank you for the heart and guidance you bring to our campus.

 

🔶5th Grade Activities

We can officially see the finish line, and what an exciting month it will be for our 5th graders. Thank you to every parent, grandparent, staff member, and friend who has contributed to 5th grade activities this year whether through activity fees, Paw Prints, yearbook ads, or donations. Your generosity has allowed us to truly celebrate this milestone in a meaningful way for our students. Please also note if you have not yet submitted the 5th Grade Activity Fee, there is still time to do so HERE.

  • Below are a few important dates as we head into our end of year celebrations:

    • May 21 - 5th Grade Party at Main Event Tomball
      We encourage students to wear their 5th grade shirts if possible.
    • May 26 - 5th Grade Graduation Ceremony
      The ceremony will be held at Langham Creek High School. Additional details will be shared as the date approaches.
    • May 28 – Last Day of School
We also want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the parents who volunteered their time, energy, and creativity throughout the year. Your involvement has made a tremendous difference and helped create unforgettable experiences for our students. We look forward to celebrating our amazing 5th graders together as they prepare for their next big adventure in middle school.
